Vespa 50 HP

Up until 2000 brand new Vespa PKs were sold in Japan. The sole distributor was a company called Narikawa. These guides were produced in Japanese by Motorino Del Vento, a Japanese dealer. I originally copied them to this site in order to translate them because we only had Babelfish 20 years ago, and it didn't do popups. I've got rid of the popups now ayway. We all have bigger screens and more data these days.

Purchase guide - Vespa 50 HP

Vespa 50 HP

This scooter is the last of the geared 50cc machines.

The crankcase is similar to the vintage series and the older PK models, most notably the PK50 FL2 with its softer plastic mouldings, but on the HP series the cylinder is aluminum.

The electrical system is 12v. The gearchange has the same rod system as the Cosa 2, replacing the old (and inferior) twin cable setup, and a similar multi-spring clutch, which makes the clutch very smooth.

The 50HP was a budget model, and a spare tyre was not provided, but can be bought separately.
