1966 Vespa 50 L (V5A1T)

The Vespa 50 L (Lusso) was a higher spec version of the 50 N. It kept the same V5A1T prefix, but chassis numbers start with a 5.

The 50 L had aluminium beading round the legshield, a hook on the saddle, a stainless steel headlight trim, and aluminium trim on the front mudguard. It also gained a dual-action hydraulic shock absorber for the front fork. Floorboard strips became aluminium with a rubber insert, like the larger models. Its badges, front and rear, were cast aluminium, and rivetted to the bodywork. A speedometer was still optional.

In 1967, from chassis number 540001, it too gained the longer bodyshell.
