Allstate Crusaire — The smallframe from Sears
The Sears store in the United States of America sold a version of the Nuova 125 VMA1T in 1966.
Allstate was a Sears own-brand that was applied to various rebadged cars, motorcycles and scooters. They had been importing largeframe Vespas for years, but in 1966 they decided to import a 150 largeframe and a 125 smallframe. As a 1966 125cc model it has the large engine door, but the shorter frame.
Although commonly referred to as Allstates, and indeed initially listed as the Allstate Crusaire, the Allstate brand was discontinued in 1966, so the scooter was simply badged "Sears".
The Allstate 125 had a unique blue Sears rosette badge on the legshield to replace the Vespa script, and a SIEM rear light not found on any other Vespa. This had two separate circular reflectors and has become known as the "Mickey Mouse". All scooters sold are said to have been white, although red was also pictured in the catalogues.
